Injury update on M’baye and Palacio

There have been some news since the game against Milan, so let’s just dive right in:

  1. Ibrahima M’baye have returned to full training after his short stint on the sidelines. Great news, as he is the best right-back at the club. Krafth and Torosidis are good players, but the Senegalese’s performances this season has made him Donadoni’s main man. Let’s hope he is fit enough to start against Juventus.
  2. A couple of days ago, 28 000 tickets were already sold for the Juventus game. It will undoubtedly surpass 30k, and the atmosphere in the game is going to be great. Really wish I could be there for what will most likely be a cracking match.
  3. Rodrigo Palacio has been receiving treatment the last couple of days, and he is a doubt going into the weekend. Given his importance for us, if there is any doubt about his level of fitness, he should be rested against Juventus. The match is going to be very difficult with or without Palacio, and Bologna need a fit Palacio going into the run of games after Juve.

The game at the weekend will be very tough. It is one of the few games in the year where I do not have any expectations of a positive result. However, Juventus are weaker this year than what has been the case the last years, so who knows. The team will probably be similar to what we saw against Milan, but we’ll look closer at the expected line-ups and more in the preview on Sunday.

Tomorrow we’ll publish an analysis on Juventus’ season thus far, so stay tuned on the site for that one.
