Today came a report from Gianluca Di Marzio that Bologna are on the verge of strengthening the squad. The journalist writes that Bologna are not content with their 12th place, and that they want to strengthen the squad to help Roberto Donadoni.
Firstly, Bologna are on the verge of acquiring the defender Nehuen Paz from Newell’s Old Boys. At just 24 year of age, he is the kind fo player that can become an integral part of our central defence for years to come. Di Marzio writes that the only thing missing is the approval of the player’s agent.
Secondly, Di Marzio writes that Blerim Dzemaili is to undergo a medical tomorrow, and that the Swiss midfielder will sign a contract stretching for two and a half years. The return of Dzemaili is therefore expected to happen very soon, an acquisition that will strengthen our midfield considerably.
Thirdly, Di Marzio writes that Bologna are on the look-out for a player to replace Simone Verdi, who is currently considering an offer from Napoli. The journalist writes that Bologna have enquired about Riccardo Orsolini, property of Juventus, and currently on loan at Atalanta. The winger has seen his opportunities to be limited this season in Bergamo, and for him to go to Bologna would probably suit everyone involved.
