The anticipated return of Blerim Dzemaili was today confirmed by the club. The Swiss midfielder, who went to Montreal Impact less than a year ago, is now back in Bologna to help the club climb up the table.
During his last stint at the club, Dzemaili played 31 games and scored 8 goals for the club. His ability to get forward from midfield was second to none, and he scored a lot of crucial goals for Bologna last season. The club has got a lot of midfield options at the moment, but Dzemaili will probably go straight into the line-up, alongside Andrea Poli and Erick Pulgar.
He played 22 games for Montreal and scored 7 goals, which is quite respectable numbers from a midfielder. Apparently, the reason for him returning to Bologna is his desire to live closer to his children.
The first acquisition for Bologna in the January transfer window is therefore official, and several others are rumoured to be imminent.
Sempre Bologna welcomes Blerim back to the club, let’s hope that he keeps on scoring goals.
