It was today confirmed that Saphir Taïder moves to Montreal Impact on loan, in a transfer very similar to what Blerim Dzemaili did last season.
Dzemaili’s return to Bologna means that Bologna has an abundance of midfielders, and that someone was going to leave was a given. Taïder has not played a lot this season, and for him to go to Canada to redeem himself seems like a good choice.
The Algerian midfielder, who turns 26 in February, is still young and he should have a future with Bologna. If he can get some game time in Canada, that is positive for all parts, as Bologna could not give him what he wanted. The deal will last until 31st of December 2019, and the Canadian outfit will have an option to make the deal permanent.
Now it’s up to him to prove his worth across the Atlantic, Sempre Bologna wishes him good luck!
