So, we are a few hours away from another match, this time it is Brescia we will fight for the three points that are so crucial to our existence. Coming from a strong performance against an abysmal Spal, we should be full of optimism and confidence, but Brescia can be a tricky side nevertheless. However, with a defence of players returning from injury, I am optimistic.
The expectations are that Denswil will return to left-back, Bani pairing Danilo in central defence, whilst M’baye return to right-back after deputizing on the left during our injury troubles. A natural left-back( ish, at least he has got a left foot) should do wonders in attack, providing width and the skill of a simple cross.
In midfield, I am expecting Schouten to continue as the regista, whilst Soriano starts as the trequartista. I desperately want Dominguez as the last piece of the puzzle, but it would not surprise me if Poli gets the nod. He started the last game and scored a good goal, but our new Argentinian provides so much more going forward.
In attack, Orsolini is a given on the right, and Barrow and Palacio are likely to fill the other two positions. Sansone has been out, and Barrow looked good (what a goal) in his cameo vs Spal.
That team should cause havoc for the Brescia defence, but question marks surround our defence, as well as no Mihajlovic on the bench.
Back to the midfield and Schouten. The kid has impressed lately, after Medel first was disqualified and then got injured. I tweeted about Schouten after the game against Torino, writing that he played well despite a few mistakes. In that game, one could really see his potential, but a few other people thought he was disastrous. A couple of games later, and Schouten is the talk of the town. He has controlled our midfield from the deep, won tackles and played intricate passes. Medel who, right?
Schouten is definitely a very talented player, and has got a lot of potential. When Medel returns from injury, he cannot expect to walk straight back into the team.

Yesterday came the news we knew were coming, Dzemaili has left for China. We won’t miss him in our current midfield, but what an important player he was during a time when the team fought relegation. Hope he finds his new adventure interesting.
Also, Paz has gone to Lecce, but nobody cares about that one.
